Check out this recipe

a new light bulb. A few years ago, when I hurt myself quite badly (pulled all muscles on the right hand side of my body from thigh to just under the right ear, front and back) I became more gluten sensitive and blue cheese as well as brie, became forbidden.
I was reading one of my favorite blogs, Gluten free girl, and she wrote about blue cheese needing to be gluten free... sigh... yup, I missed that one.
so please check her strawberry recipe out.

*^#$^#% HOW MUCH WATER!!@##$%

Spring and then summer are around the corner, I thought I would remind you - hydrate!

The recommended dosage is 1 oz of water per 2 pounds of body weight.
So: weight in pounds /2 = how many ounces you should drink.

if you want a conversion from ounces to liters, type in "##oz in liters" to the google search bar, the calculation will automatically come up.
i.e.
200 pound person would enter: "100 oz in liters"
RESULTS:
100 US fluid ounces = 2.95735296 liters

Measurement reference:
Bottled water that is about the same size (height) as a bottle of soda/pop, a retail fridge for a quick drink is usually 20 oz.
1 1/2 pints 900 ml 3 3/4 cup
1 3/4 pints 1 litre 4 cups (1qt)
2 pints 1 1/4 litres 1 1/4 quarts
2 1/3 pints 1 1/2 litres 3 US pints
3 1/4 pints 2 litres 2 quarts

Tricia tidbits pulled from books and sites.
It is possible to lose a pint of liquid each day just exhaling. (http://www.naturodoc.com/library/nutrition/water.htm)

Marshmellows

Are you going to be grilling out soon?
I sure hope to be cleaning the grill and then toasting marshmallows.
I recently found that Fireside Marshmallows, Campfire marshmallows and Rocky Mountain Marshmallows are all made b the same company as the Aldi marshmellows, and

"Thank you for your letter inquiring about gluten in Aldi's Toasty Puffs Miniature Marshmallows.

This product contains no gluten or alcohol derived from wheat, either as an ingredient or processing aid and is casein free"
check the Celiac forums and you will find the same. (source http://www.glutenfreeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=14005&st=0&p=102282&#entry102282)

My Workers still use public transportation

Okay at work today, we were having a great time working the Biggest Baby Shower (Appleton). Sometimes you have to just stop taking everything so serious, and just skate.
This is why I love the job, I use an antique Radio Flyer AKA Little Red Wagon, for work equipment transport, and I get to work with people that knuckle down and work hard, but also want and need to have fun.

we all hit a 404 web page not found

This one made me laugh and realize sometimes there is still humor in the computer world that is worth sharing with the rest of the frustrated web surfers.

the morning is best when

The morning is best when you enjoy the first kiss and the first hug.
The morning is best when you actually like the temperature of the bedroom when arising.
The morning is best when you know you are going to get something done.

New Life a new you?

I started this blog for a few reasons.
I will talk a bit about my professional life.
I will talk a bit about my life as a Celiac.

I want to give people the 5 r's of Celiac disease and a little bit about my life.

I will commonly use one or more of these five labels in my postings.

Recipes: the Celiac and their friends/family are always looking for traditional or other options.

Resources: Where and how I got my information.

Reliable Sites: I found alot of useful information, but sometimes, I found the information just doesn't make sense or it was unreliable, so I will post about both the reliable and what I trust, as well as sites I have found that I don't agree with, nor trust.

Research: Forward movement in healing and possible if ever cures.

Referrals: sometimes I refer you, the reader to another great source of information because I just found a gold mine!

Remember, please, I respect that not every Celiac is the same, and truly, I expect the same from you. I will try to give healthy information with ethical decisions and choices. I plan on this being a place of healing and undoing the chains of frustration. Respect that intent.
